LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 4, Ariz. — June 19, 2026 — The Arizona Conference of Police & Sheriffs (AZCOPS), a statewide organization representing more than 4,500 law-enforcement members across Arizona, has announced its endorsement of Representative Pamela Carter in her campaign for re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 4.
The endorsement follows what AZCOPS described as extensive research by its Legislative Committee and Executive Board, which weigh several factors before backing a candidate — including a candidate's record of accomplishments and their willingness to work with the leadership of law-enforcement member organizations.
"Your unwavering support for public safety is appreciated by our members and the community they serve." — David N. Stone, Executive Director, Arizona Conference of Police & Sheriffs
Backed by the officers who do the work
AZCOPS represents police officers and sheriffs from departments across the state. Its endorsement reflects confidence that Representative Carter has stood with the men and women of law enforcement — not just in campaign season, but in the work of the legislature.
After only one term, Representative Carter was named Vice Chair of the House Public Safety Committee, a position that puts her at the center of the policy decisions shaping how Arizona supports its officers and keeps its communities safe.
A record of standing with law enforcement
Representative Carter has made public safety a defining priority of her service. She has consistently backed legislation to give officers the tools and legal backing they need, supported strong consequences for violent and predatory crime, and championed border-security measures aimed at stopping the flow of fentanyl, human trafficking, and cartel activity into Arizona communities.
"I'm humbled to have the support of the men and women who put themselves between our families and danger every day," said Representative Carter. "Backing the blue has never been a slogan to me — it's a duty. I'll keep fighting to give Arizona's officers the resources, the respect, and the laws they need to protect the communities they serve."
One of a growing coalition
The AZCOPS endorsement adds a statewide law-enforcement organization to a coalition that already includes Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, Maricopa County Sheriff Jerry Sheridan, and fellow legislators — a broad base of support from the people closest to Arizona's public-safety challenges.
